Well the time has come where cheekily we tease in our house about my upper lip being assaulted by the big guy’s stubble. I honestly don’t mind. It is for a fantastic cause and if this is what it takes for men to feel more comfortable taking about their health then I am all in! The health concerns that Movember highlights are

Chocoholics Rejoice

Its officially your day, chocoholics! Despite some people being sensitive or even allergic to chocolate, it is one of the most common food cravings. There is little scientific evidence to suggest that dark chocolate can back up any claim of improved health or disease prevention. But, it may have antidepressant properties due to a neurotransmitter and mood elevator.

National Nut Day

One of my clients has a sign at their door that says “My family tree is filled with nuts”. I can’t help but chuckle when I see it. Which brings me to National Nut Day!

Most Canadians During the Winter are Vitamin D Deficient

The calendar says it is officially fall, I have opened my first can of pumpkin and the gum boots are in full use. It is safe to say summer is long gone. So, that means there is a lot less sunshine and that isn’t great for the sunshine vitamin. Yep, poor Vitamin D is having a hard time being produced. It is important to supplement Vitamin D at this time of the year for our bone and teeth health.
