She blends problems that I might identify, goals that I want to address, and her independent assessment of my needs and capabilities. She doesn’t let any one of those factors dominate, but come up with a plan that blends them all. In directing our sessions, she has an effective attention to detail, focussing on important and safety-related features of an exercise or honoured, but overlooking less important features if my performance isn’t quite up to standard.
