I have been some form of a vegetarian since I was 13 years old. I tried several times to become vegan, though my heart desperately wants to be vegan the rest of my body does not and I have to, after a long battle with myself, come to terms with that!

A very delicious sandwich, high in fibre, vitamins and nutrients. A staunch meat eater gave this sandwich his approval, so it must be good! Give it a go, it’s an easy to throw together meal!
There is a bit of a disconnect with what we eat and its impact on our health. I was recently on the ferry and a young couple was sitting behind me. I couldn’t help but notice the frequency of their trips to the vending machine for snacks. Don’t get me wrong I am far from a perfect eater but as far as I am concerned there is no food in those machines. There are food stuffs, but no actual nutrients.
